Isle of Wight Embroiderers

Welcome to Isle of Wight Embroiderers. We are a group of keen embroiderers whose interests range from cross-stitch to goldwork, from kits to our own designs, from traditional to contemporary. We meet monthly, on the 3rd Saturday with the exception of August.

The doors open to members at 10.45 am and we end at about 3.45 pm. We run a sales table of embroidery related items, and have an extensive library, with books available for loan to members for a small fee. In the morning we generally run workshops. These revolve around a stitch, a technique, or another embroidery-related subject such as painting backgrounds.

The afternoon programme begins at 2pm when the Chairman gives out notices and may introduce a Show and Tell session of members work. We then often have a speaker. This is always an inspiration! A few times a year, an all-day workshop is available with our visiting speaker.

Those coming all day will need to bring a packed lunch.
